Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Halls

This project was in the studio for many years as designs and aspirations changed from a total new build scheme, as published in the AJ, to the final refurbishment and extension scheme. The Parish were also not willing to move forward with a large amount of borrowing, so the studio helped to raise awareness and donations for the project. Originally designed as a club at ground floor and hall above, the parish needed to provide more space for the activities of the parish, including religious, teaching, administration and outreach programs. The scheme filled in as much of the site as possible to add ancillary and circulation space and added height and a new roof to provide the Upper Hall with better proportions.
