Residential Redevelopment in Chadwell Heath
This project redevelops the site of an old garage and workshops. The original site was in a number of ownerships and this site is the second to have redevelopment proposals submitted to Planning. The project includes a front block of 9 storeys fronting the road with 4 mews houses behind. The front block has a small office unit over two floors together with a further 41 homes served by three vertical cores. The development will provide 15 affordable homes, with 30 homes for market sale or rental. The buildings will be a combination of brick and bronze cladding, with the top floors stepping back, clad in Reglit to assist with lightening the top floor. The lower two floors form a base on which the remainder of the building stands, taking heights for the plinth and set-backs from the already approved scheme on the adjoining site. The project has received Planning Permission subject to the agreement of an S106.
