Conversion and Extension of Retail Unit to form Dojo, Gym and Cafe

Following the closure of the Hardware Store on this prominent corner, the parade of shops had more units boded up than open. Obtaining a change of use required detailed discussion with the Planning Officers, as it was clear retail would not work here, but a use that created footfall for others would be a benefit. The client reviewed a number of options before settling on the Dojo scheme, which was welcomed and approved by the Planning Team. The works not only converted the ground floor, but deepened and extended the basement area to double the size of the original unit.
