Extension and Refurbishment of Detached Home

This project received Planning Approval in September 2021 for the 2 storey side and rear extensions to provide a family home fitting for this site within Buckinghamshire. The permission also allows for a new double garage and a summer house at the bottom of the garden. On a steeply sloping site on the edge of the Greenbelt sits a fantastic arts and crafts home, which has been neglected for a number years, but now owned by a young family who wish to bring the home back to life. The proposals create a house more suitable for this large plot, which is almost twice the size of the neighbours. It creates a home with rooms suited to the family's needs and provides a better connection with the gardens and views beyond. The house is approached through large trees and a drive that slopes and winds between them down to a levelled section. The terrace surrounding the house then steps down to the continued sloping gardens and lawns, to create a home where the family will be able to fully enjoy and appreciate the property and its surroundings.
