Tuition Centre, Beaconsfield

This scheme has converted part of the old Town Hall in Beaconsfield into a Tuition Centre for an 11+ specialist Education and Tuition Company. The company runs classes after school and at weekends and has grown through its reputation and accomplishments. This project provided three class room spaces as well as a new head office for the company. We have worked on other locations for either the conversion into a new Tuition Centre or aiding the company plan safe exam rooms during the pandemic. The new locations are at an early stage of design, but look as though they will happen in the coming years as the company expands in the region. Two of the class rooms in this conversion have been made from the council chamber with a grand fireplace and timber panelling at low level, which the conversion has preserved for future generations should the room be opened up again in the future. The space is in part divided by a folding acoustic wall, to allow flexibility within the centre for both Tuition and Exam layouts.
