Barn Conversion, Nr. Caple, Surrey

This project creates a new dwelling by converting a barn within the grounds of a listed house. Planning permission has been granted by Mole Valley, but works have not yet started on site. The barn itself is one that had been relocated here following the development of its previous site, so has quite a history. Currently a garage and workshop at ground floor, with a fantastic games room over. The permission will create a large 4-Bedroom house, with double level and partly double height living accommodation, with the bedrooms split over Ground and First Floors. It will have its own gardens and parking areas and the design created its own drive to the main road, so that the existing house and grounds are not affected by the increased traffic or people. The design creates an 'orangery' to the side to bring in light without creating domestic type window openings. All windows are as existing with no roof lights either to preserve the beautiful style of the existing barn.
